Development

Development is organized into five milestones. The first graphics milestone is in progress; the voxel world, interactive sandbox, engine and editor, and AI and multiplayer milestones are planned.

See the website roadmap or the source roadmap for objectives and status.

The engine repository welcomes discussions, reproducible bug reports, documentation improvements, and focused code contributions. For substantial features or architectural changes, its contribution guide asks contributors to discuss the proposal first.

Read the complete contribution guidelines before submitting changes. The project notes that architecture and public APIs may change frequently during early development.

The engine README documents these Rust checks:

Terminal window
cargo fmt --check
cargo check --locked --all-targets --all-features
cargo clippy --locked --all-targets --all-features -- -D warnings
cargo test --locked --all-targets --all-features

The engine CI checks code on macOS, Windows, and Linux. These checks do not exercise GPU output; the repository currently reports graphics runtime verification only on its Intel Iris Pro / Metal development setup.

Website changes are checked by GitHub Actions with separate lint, typecheck, and build jobs. Branch protection and repository rulesets must be configured by a repository administrator; this project does not claim those settings are active.
